Our Purpose

Reading Neighbors Network is an organization whose members support one another in aging so that we can all continue to remain in our homes for as long as we want to and is feasible. Our goal is to build a network based on social relationships, mutual support, and access to information and resources important to our interests and needs as we age. To achieve this goal, all members are expected to not only participate in activities but also volunteer in one or more ways to help other members when needs arise.

Our Structure

Reading Neighbors Network members are expected to:

• Be a resident of, or have close ties to, Reading.

• Participate in Reading Neighbors Network activities.

• Volunteer to support at least one Lend a Hand opportunity and, as befits their time and interests, participate in Interest Groups.

• Pay a very modest annual membership fee.
